Music
In October, all Year 6 children took part in the 'Swing Low, Big Sing' music heritage project at St George's Hall in Bradford. The year 6 children spent the half term learning songs and stories connected to Black History Month and then were given the opportunity to showcase and celebrate their learning with other schools. This was an amazing opportunity for our children and they and the staff thoroughly enjoy the event. Here are just some of the photos taken on the day.
Physical Education
At Peel Park Primary School and Nursery, we value sport and competition greatly. We value the many life lessons you can learn from playing sport. Being part of Team Peel Park is something our children are extremely proud of and they represent the school with skill, sportsmanship and pride. We take part in traditional sports such as Football, Cricket and Rugby whilst also taking part in sports such as New Age Kurling and Boccia. Our offer is fully inclusive and available to all of our students. As you can see from the pictures, we regularly take two or more teams to events. We are proud to be members of the BD3 Games and regularly take part in Your School Games events.
Bike Friendly Schools - November 2024
Year 2 have had cycling sessions which focus on learning to ride a bike, ensuring they have good balance and co-ordination skills, spatial awareness on the bike, and can effectively use the brakes.
We were delighted to receive the Barclays Girls Football Equal Access award. Football is something many of our girls love to take part in and we are proud to offer a wide range of opportunities for them to do so.
