Online Safety

Online Safety at Peel Park

At Peel Park, we recognise and value the potential of the internet to enhance learning. The internet and digital technologies play a central role in every child’s life, providing exciting, engaging opportunities that can significantly improve their knowledge and understanding both in school and at home.

Our goal is to teach all pupils to use technology safely and respectfully. This includes keeping personal information private and identifying trusted sources of help and support when they have concerns about online content or interactions.

Within school, we implement a yearly program of dedicated online safety lessons that complement our skills-based computing curriculum. This ensures that pupils not only develop technical skills but also learn how to navigate the digital world responsibly and securely.
Supporting Online Safety at Home

At Peel Park, we regularly teach children about internet safety, but we believe these lessons should also be reinforced at home.

The pace of technological change is remarkable. Our children are growing up in a world saturated with technology that connects us globally. Keeping up with this rapid development, feeling confident in using technology, and ensuring our children’s online safety can be challenging.

To help navigate this fast-moving digital world, we have provided you with helpful links.  We also send out regular newsletters to help you keep up with the changing digital world. These resources offer guidance on how to keep your children safe online and support parents in understanding internet safety and digital technologies.
